## How these numbers are produced

OpenPeppol publishes the full list of live participant identifiers once a
day. Every identifier begins with a four-digit ISO 6523 code naming the
agency that issued the company's registration number, and almost every such
agency is a national register, so counting identifiers by prefix gives
participants by country. Nine agencies are cross-border (GLN, DUNS, EU VAT
and similar); their participants are reported separately rather than
attributed to a country.

Nothing here is estimated or modelled. Each figure is a count of the
register as it stood at the timestamp above.
